The Plant and the Place separates biological fact from design judgment. A recommendation about scale or planter colour is editorial opinion; a claim about light, watering or pet caution requires reliable support.

Research

Horticultural claims are checked against botanical gardens, university extension services, recognised horticultural organisations and public institutions. Veterinary organisations are prioritised for pet-safety information. Anonymous blogs are not used as the sole basis for biological facts.

Review

Articles are reviewed for unsupported claims, misleading certainty, plant-name accuracy, pet-safety overclaims, practical limitations and the distinction between surviving and growing well.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with research organisation, drafting and review. They do not supply invented personal experience, authors, homes or product tests. AI-assisted drafts require human review before publication; the initial workflow will not publish unattended.

Corrections

Material corrections should be recorded with an updated date and a clear note when they change the meaning of the advice. Articles with outdated or unresolved information should be marked for review.
